National Leprosy Control

The Korean Hansen Welfare Association(KHWA)  is responsible for the central role of leprosy activ-ities in our country. 

KHWA is managing the  activities of  11-city  and  provincial branches,  and  NGO(Non-Goverment Organization)  and is also in charge of the  central  registry,  which was  transfered from the gove- rment   in 1977.   We  analyze  various  atastics  on  leprosy  patients  and  use  them  in practical,  and  we  also  closely  study  bacillary  negative  patients  among  registered  patients  to  let them  return to the community.
